#38.1Licence details

For an activated installation the dialog lists:

Licensed to · Edition · License ID · Seat (n / total) · Issued · Valid until (with days remaining, or Perpetual) · Machine code.

#38.2During a trial

A banner shows the evaluation period, days remaining and the machine code, above the activation panel.

#38.3Entering a new licence

Enter a new license… switches the dialog to the activation panel described in chapter 4. Back to license details returns.

#38.4Renewing an expired licence

When the licence has expired the panel’s button reads Renew License. The procedure is identical to activation — paste the new key and press the button, or use the offline exchange.

#38.5Deactivating a machine

Use this before decommissioning a computer or moving your seat.

  1. Deactivate this machine… → a confirmation appears.
  2. Deactivate.

DBCraft removes the licence from this machine and tries to release the seat with the licensing authority automatically. If it cannot reach it, a deactivation code is shown.

Save the deactivation code before closing the dialog if one is shown — entering it on the licensing portal is what releases your seat for reuse. If you close the dialog too soon, the code is also shown on the activation screen (in an amber box) until the next activation, so it is not lost.
